Dyraaba Station was the settlement from which a 200,000 acre pastoral enterprise was run from the 1840s by the Barns family.  Over the years the size of the operation has diminished and the remaining homestead and associated buildings now stand on 60 hectares.  All buildings are constructed of timber and exemplify the skills of the early pioneers in crafting local timbers. Standing in the homestead's garden are numerous huge Moreton Bay Figs, bunya pines and hoop pines, complimented by silky oaks and jacarandas.
